Belleville’s 17th Street Corridor Neighborhood Neighborhood
The 17th Street Corridor Neighborhood runs along one of Belleville’s main streets (17th Street) and straddles the line between Belleville and the Village of Swansea. The area offers both single-family homes and rental units and thanks to organizations such as the 17th Street Corridor Neighborhood Association has maintained the stability of the neighborhood.
The area is in close proximity to Belleville’s Main Street corridor as well as close to grocery shopping and other local businesses. The area features homes with large lawns as well as wooded areas and creeks that crisscross the neighborhood where Belleville children have grown up and played for decades. The area features both public and private grade schools as well as several public and private secondary education choices.
Belleville’s Lindenwood University is just down the street and public transportation is easily accessible throughout the neighborhood.
