Norm Greenberg stopped by U Speak Belleville? studio and spoke to us about, among other things, his long career in broadcasting in the Belleville, Illinois area.

After receiving Bachelor of Arts & Master of Arts degrees from St. Louis University, he worked at KSIM, Sikeston, Missouri. Later, Norm began his local professional career at WIBV Radio, in Belleville, Illinois. He served as newsman, announcer, salesman, program director, president & general manager.

Norm later left radio and began broadcasting on cable tv beginning with his show, “Continental Breakfast” on Continental Cablevision up to his most recent show “The Norm Greenberg Show” on Charter Cable from which he recently retired.

A note on this episode’s artwork: Greg Travous, a mutual friend of Norm’s and mine, created the banner from which the podcast image was reconfigured. Greg was a local Belleville artist who later migrated to St Augustine, Florida.
